North Carolina is known for its legendary barbecue joints. We proudly continue
this tradition by serving authentic whole-hog, pit-cooked barbecue at The Pit
in downtown Durham's NoCO District.
Our special family-style Thanksgiving feast has all the traditional Thanksgiving favorites and some of The Pit's best-known dishes, such as chopped whole-hog barbecue and collard greens. Our meal also includes smoked and glazed ham and pit-cooked turkey, a choice of three sides, including candied yams, green bean casserole, mashed potatoes and gravy and mac-n-cheese, and a choice of two desserts, including our homemade pumpkin cheesecake and apple crostada.
Get your Thanksgiving meal to go until 3 p.m. on Thanksgiving. All take-out packages should be ordered by Wednesday, November 26. For a whole turkey, please place your order by Monday, November 24. Call 919.282.DPIT (3748).

Come by the day after or anytime you're craving whole-hog barbecue. We're open for lunch and dinner. We'll be smoking and chopping all day, every day. We can't wait to see you!
